The Haudenosaunee believe that all efforts should be for the future generations. We are reminded by our leaders to plan for all activities and projects in consideration of the future for the next seven generations. We must think seven generations ahead; not tomorrow, next year or the next ten years but the next seven generations ahead. Printed information will help our grandchildren retain important historical information. The introduction from the first publication, Traditional Teachings, has the same message for today's readers.
"We put our words on paper for many reasons. First, because the non natives have already written it as they understand it and have not always been correct. Secondly, we have recorded these teachings on paper for our children of today who more and more are reawakening to their culture and heritage. They need this knowledge to find their way back home, back to their perople's spiritual way of life."
The publications listed in this catalogue are of Haudenosaunee origin and various subjects.
